It all began as a hobby. In 1981 Susie Stoltzfus, having recently moved from Lancaster, Pennsylvania to New York, began to make quilts and show them at local shows. Today The Quilt Room is owned and operated by Susie’s daughter and son-in-law, Naomi and Glenn Lapp. Quilts are stacked on a double bed and racks with an inventory of 200 or more on display. Our specialty is custom work as well as doing repairs. Many new crafts and candles have been added to our shop. Stop by our booth between 10-2 and see Susie giving a quilting demonstration. The Quilt Room is at 1970 Hoyt Road, Penn Yan, and ½ mile from The Windmill.
